The silicon content of FeSi 65 is below 65%. It is commonly used as deoxidizer and alloy agent in cast iron and steel making. Adding some percentage of silicon to the steel can obviously improve the hardness, strength, and elasticity of the steel. And it can also improve the inclusion shape to reduce the content of gas elements in liquid steel. This is a new technology which can improve steel quality, reduce cost and save iron.
